As a Retail Area Administrator at Ross Stores, you will serve as a vital member of our store leadership team, overseeing specific departments and managing overall floor operations as the Manager on Duty. You will play a key role in maintaining our treasure hunt shopping experience by supervising associates, ensuring floor safety, and managing merchandise presentation. Qualifications:
• Strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
• Previous experience in customer service and leadership or supervision is preferred.
• Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and standard retail software.
• Capable of performing fundamental retail math and handling cash transactions.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform active tasks like reaching, bending, and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the Manager on Duty, overseeing store opening/closing procedures and general operations.
• Maintain a secure environment by monitoring building entrances, conducting EAS checks, and following safety protocols for both customers and staff.
• Lead the front-end team to ensure efficient checkout service, managing associate breaks and troubleshooting register issues.
• Supervise merchandise processing, from receiving truck deliveries to ensuring the sales floor is properly stocked and organized.
• Drive loss prevention awareness by modeling integrity, protecting confidential data, and performing package inspections.
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of fitting rooms and assigned departments to meet company presentation standards.
• Handle administrative tasks including payroll reporting, shift edits, bank deposits, and transaction approvals.
• Mentor and train associates to reach productivity goals and provide exceptional customer service.
